Gallery M Contemporary Art Prize 2018 Exhibition Information
I’m happy to announce that I have been selected for the second year running as a finalist in the Gallery M Contemporary Art Prize for 2018. Just as last year, my solagraphs have been selected as a finalist, but unlike last year, I have managed to corner two separate finalist spots to be exhibited at the Gallery M exhibition. The first being my 4 month long solargraph overlooking Adelaide’s iconic St Paul’s cathedral, and the other a 2 month long exposure of the newly built Royal Adelaide Hospital.
The 30 finalists were selected by leaders in the field of contemporary arts from 150 entrants. The exciting part about being selected to be exhibited in this way is that my solargraphs are to be shown next to more ‘typical’ artworks from all different mediums, including painting and sculpture. I have in the past been recognised as one of the top 10 contemporary photographic artists in Australia in the National AIPP awards, but this is going up against all mediums, so it’s quite a bit different.
The opening night for the Exhibition begins at 7pm, Friday 10th of August with beverages donated by Patritti Wines! So come for the free wine! A full brochure is available here.
These two images are part of a limited edition series of 9 that will be taking part in my first solo exhibition of work as part of the Shimmer photographic festival, mid September so look out for that! Each print is limited to a run of 15 and will be available for purchase from Gallery M, or through my webstore.
