This weekend marks the seventh year in which I have participated in entering the South Australian Professional Photography Awards run by the AIPP, or Australian Institute for Professional Photography, but this is the first year in which I have this wonderful website dedicated to my landscape, and fine art work. Previously I have written this blog post on my Adelaide Wedding Photography webpage, and let me say I have again been successful in winning awards for my work. In every edition of the SAPPA Awards I have won an award, a list of which you can view on my Artist CV page.
SAPPA Awards 2015 – Landscape Category
The following images I had submitted into this years Sappa Awards Landscape Category.
82 – Silver Award
This shot overlooking the Shanghai Bund I took from the lookout platform on the Shanghai Financial center building whilst on a work trip for the Catholic Education office touring Chinese schools to better international relations and understanding.
80 – Silver Award
This shot was taken down at Hallet Cove beach and an interesting tidbit on the shot is that this was the first shot I took with my new Nikon D810, so off to an award winning start!
My other two prints I placed into this years SAPPA awards earned a respectable score of 79 and 77 respectively, narrowly missing out on an award at 80 and also bringing my aggregate score to 318, 2 less than what I need to be in contention for this year’s Landscape Photographer of the year title.
