Finalist in the Australian Photography Awards (APA)

Happy to say that I was recently judged 10th in this year’s edition of the Australian Photography awards in the Mobile category, which means I was in the top 20 finalists which was pretty cool as I don’t generally use my mobile to make create much art 🙂

This scene was created from a few minutes at the bowling alley. It’s a Mobile image consisting of 1268 continuous separate frames taken from a single location in a technique mimicking the traditional slit-scan technique. The technique generally yields better results on film, but using an app on a mobile phone makes it so much easier 🙂
